The Disc and The Money

Dawn, I am just curious when the reunion discs and refund money from the swimming will be mailed? Thanks.

I'm still waiting on information and materials from Dawn before I can create the discs. I know she has been busily making up for lost time at work and was out of town. Hopefully she'll be getting back to me soon.

I hope I don't seem impatient, but this weekend will have been 8 weeks since the reunion. I paid upfront for the swimming and the disc, and even though it's only $20 between the two of them, I am wondering if anyone has any idea yet when the disc and refund will be mailed?

I sure wish I could answer you. I'm as impatient as you are. We're still waiting on Dawn. I don't even know how many orders we have for discs, or what budget we have for them--whether or not we can burn DVDs rather than just making CD-ROMs, etc.

As you can see, the photos are online. The video is edited. I'm still waiting for the official photo of the group which the photographer promised to give in digital form to Beth for me. There's more content I'm planning to post on the site, including an In Memoriam page. And I'd really like to send out an email to our entire Classmates mailing list to announce this site officially, and perhaps get us some more traffic--and not from the spammers who seem intent upon joining for some reason.

Dawn and Dan are hosting a fantasy football thing at their house this weekend, and a couple of people who will be there have assured me they'll corner her for us. So don't give up hope!

Thanks Jamie. It's just a bit aggravating to prepay for something and then have to wait for the product and the refund. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is wondering about it all. So I didn't even get to talk to you at the reunion. You and I go way back school wise. Is life treating you good? I still remember the old days in jr. high hanging out with you, Ed Cox, Robert Kilgore, Jody Durbin and some others. I was really shocked about Jody.

Yeah, I meant to come over and say hi more than once and was distracted by something. I think I may have caught you on video, though, so watch out!

I was a little shocked to learn about Jody, too. I really think it'd be nice to have a good memorial page here on the site.

I was just curious what happened at the fantasy football party. Has anyone gotten on Dawn about getting things finished up? Could you please let her know that I would really like my refund back as it would help out with Christmas coming up. If she's not going to get the discs finished up, I'll take the five dollars back for that too. She should have my address from what I filled out.

You should call her, Stephanie. I still haven't had any luck getting anything from The Committee. I've been holding off on calling them again myself--the only one I've been following up with is Julie, and she hasn't had any luck with Dawn so far, either. Maybe if you call her up, you can help get things moving. Good luck if you do want to try that... and keep me posted!

Although I have not been on this site since the reunion, I felt the need to reply when Stephanie told me what had been posted here. Just to set the record straight, the only further information I have is the entire class database which legally I do not feel comfortable including on the disc as not all classmates have agreed to have their information included. Dan and I have been waiting for a disc to copy. THe mailers with postage are prepared to be sent whenever I get the disc. WE were too busy during the reunion to take the pictures and the previous disc we prepared with all of the information from the past reunions had been given to Jamie. I have heard through the grapevine that the disc Jamie had done is incredible and I know he has put alot of work into it and it will be well worth the wait. I have not received a call or email from anyone regarding this since the week after the reunion with the exception of Julie and then Stephanie this week. I have said if you think I have something else you need I need to know what it is you want. WHen I last asked that of Julie I was told "everything else I had". I have nothing else for inclusion on the disc as I will not release all of the classmates personal information we have for inclusion. As a side note, we do not have email addresses for many classmates and unfortunately there is no money to send a notice about the website to all of the classmates as we had several classmates RSVP and not show but we still had to pay for all of the reserved dinners and drinks. I aplogize for any issues people may have with the lateness of the disk and issues surrounding the reunion. PLease consider that 3 people out of a class of 400+ spent over one year of time and their own fiscal resource planning this event. I would HIGHLY encourage anyone interested to please volunteer to assist (or chair) he new reunion.
